Welcome to Hollycroft Labs.

I have been building and making things for a long time. I love the moment when an idea stops being “just a concept” and becomes something real you can hold in your hand a few hours later. That mix of creativity, technology, and practical problem-solving is what pulled me into 3D modelling, design, and eventually the world of 3D printing.

Hollycroft Labs started in a way that will probably sound familiar. A friend saw some of the things I was making and said, “You know, you could probably sell these.” That small comment stuck with me, because it wasn’t just about selling. It was the idea of sharing what I love making with other people, and creating products that are genuinely useful, or that bring a little joy.

Until now, a lot of that journey has lived on marketplaces. They have been a brilliant way to learn what people like, what they struggle with, and what’s worth improving. But they also come with limits. I have wanted a place that feels more like a proper home for the brand. A place where I can share what I am building, why I am building it, and where I can have a more direct relationship with customers.

So, this site is that next step.

Right now, Hollycroft Labs focuses on two areas:

Blue Sky Gaming

Blue Sky Gaming is a little slice of the good old days. Retro-inspired gaming accessories for players who miss simpler adventures, bright worlds, and that feeling of switching on a console with nothing but time ahead.

 

 

 

Lighting and lamps

After renovating our house, I realised just how much lighting changes a space. The right lamp can make a room feel calm, warm, and intentional. That experience pushed me to design pieces that feel considered, practical, and genuinely nice to live with.

 

 

 

No matter which category something sits in, the same approach applies.

Crafted. Functional. Beautiful.

My guiding line is simple: crafted. functional. beautiful.

It is how I try to make every decision, from the first sketch, to design tweaks, to production. I take real care at every stage, because I want what you buy to feel thoughtful and well-made, not rushed or disposable.

What’s next

This site is not just a storefront. It is also going to be a place where I can share updates, experiments, behind-the-scenes notes, and the occasional longer thought about making, designing, and building a small product business.

As you can see from the picture, we are rapidly outgrowing our current workshop/broom cupboard and are planning to expand into a new space this year.
